Holidays In Bulgaria

Are you looking for a skiing holiday, a beach holiday or a sightseeing holiday, or just an alternative to the traditional 2 weeks holiday in Costa del Sol? Whatever you’re looking for, Bulgaria has it. Being a relatively new holiday destination, the resorts have tip top facilities. Hotels are modern, the equipment you may want to hire for skiing or for water sports is new.

The beaches, overlooking the Black Sea, are beautiful and sandy and the sea is warm in the summer. The temperatures are hot and dry – perfect for just chilling out, swimming or partaking in water sports. If you visit between June and September, you will enjoy the warmest weather. But be prepared for the mosquitoes. Take some repellent with you or buy some when you arrive.

Skiing here is cheap, compared to the rest of Europe, the slopes are relatively uncrowded and suitable for both expert skiers and novices. The scenery is fantastic , and, after a day on the slopes, join the other apre skiers and chat over the day’s activities.

Whatever time of the year you visit Bulgaria, you are bound to find a bargain holiday. An all inclusive deal means a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. Have a morning’s activities, go back to the hotel for lunch, laze on the beach in the afternoon (or ski some more, depending on the type of holiday you choose), return to the hotel and spruce up for dinner. And then, afterwards, go out on the town. Sit in a bar and watch the world go by, or dance the night away in a club.

If you fancy some sightseeing, visit Sofia, the capital. Situated at the foot of Mount Vitosha, there are churches, museums and historical sites to visit. Pop into the tourist office, pick up some brochures, choose what you want to see, then hop on some local transport and you’re off. Buses, trams and the metro are cheap. This is the best way to see the city. Shopping here is quite interesting. Mostly Bulgarian products (locally produced clothes, shoes and handicrafts) but worthwhile looking at. And something might take your fancy.

Whatever time of the year you’re looking for a last minute holiday, think Bulgaria. Late deals are available all year round. A last minute booking will give you something to look forward to, with not so long to wait. Passport, camera , clothes, some pocket money, and you’re off. Fantastic. Why delay?
